Three Historic Wootton Paintings Added to NHRM Collection

The National Horseracing Museum (NHRM) in Newmarket has accepted three large historic equine portraits by the renowned British artist John Wootton (1682-1764), which will be on public display from Thursday, April 23. The paintings were acquired through the Arts Council's Acceptance in Lieu Scheme and were commissioned by Sir John Dutton in the 1720s, part of a series of seven equine portraits for his home at Sherborne Park in Gloucestershire. Horseracing Board Game Exhibit To Begin At NHM In April

Horseplay, an exhibit showcasing over 50 rare and antique board games focused on horseracing, will be displayed at the National Horseracing Museum in Newmarket beginning on Apr. 4. The National Horseracing Museum today announced the launch of the second year of the Awards for Young Writers on Horseracing, open to people aged between 11 and 25 living in the UK. New ICONS Photo Exhibit At National Horseracing Museum Begins In May

ICONS, a new photography exhibit at the National Horseracing Museum in Newmarket, begins on May 2 and will last through Oct. 27, the museum announced on Tuesday. The exhibit features the work of the late John Reardon, with photos from thoroughbreds to Michelin-star chefs intermingled.
