Open to the public, a celebration of the life of John Hendrickson will take place at the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame on Friday, Aug. 30 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. ET., the Saratoga repository said in a Thursday press release. Hendrickson, the museum's chairman since August 2017, passed away unexpectedly Monday at the age of 59. His services will be private.
Hall of Fame jockey Javier Castellano and Classic-winning trainer Jena Antonucci will be signing posters of 2023 Eclipse Award winner Arcangelo (Arrogate) at Saratoga Race Course Saturday at 11 a.m. Proceeds will benefit the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame. The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame's Executive Committee has approved changes regarding the institution's Historic Review committee process based on feedback received from the chair and members, the institution said in a Friday release. Beginning this year, the Historic Review Committee will start an annual rotation to examine a specific era of American racing history.
