Oklahoma Training Track Opens Saturday

The Oklahoma Training Track at Saratoga will open for training Saturday, Apr. 16, NYRA announced Thursday. The barn area at the Oklahoma will open to licensed trainers and staff beginning Friday, Apr. 15. Prior to the opening of the 2022 summer meet July 14, the Whitney Viewing Stand will be open to the public on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays beginning Friday, Apr. 29 from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. The Whitney Viewing Stand is accessible through Gate 21 on East Avenue and is free of charge.

Potts Says Touting Service Is Not His

Numerous horseplayers received an email Thursday from a touting service promising pari-mutuel riches that purported to be authored by trainer Wayne Potts. The 2021-22 Aqueduct winter meet, which ran from Dec. 9, 2021 through Mar. 27, 2022, generated all-sources handle of $358,836,940, a 2.5% increase over the 2020-21 winter meet, NYRA announced Thursday. Longtime NYRA Employee Eddie Brown Dies

Eddie Brown, who worked for many years at Aqueduct Racetrack, Belmont Park and Saratoga Race Course, most recently as the New York Racing Association's assistant clerk of scales, has passed away, NYRA announced Sunday.
