Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance Opens Sixth Annual Calendar Photo Contest

The sixth annual calendar photo contest for inclusion in the 2027 Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance calendar is now open for submissions, the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance (TAA) announced Monday morning. Five new members were elected to the Retired Racehorse Project (RRP) board and four to the advisory council, at the organization's December meeting, the RRP announced Monday. Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance Opens Accreditation Applications for 2026

The 2026 accreditation application process is now open and can be accessed online, the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance (TAA) announced Monday. Nonprofit Thoroughbred aftercare organizations that are interested in applying for accreditation during the 2026-27 term must submit the completed application by Apr. 1, at 6:00p.m. EDT. All organizations that were accredited in 2023 or any new organizations need to apply for accreditation this year. Applications to compete in the 2026 Thoroughbred Makeover and National Symposium are now being accepted through Jan. 23, announced the Retired Racehorse Project (RRP). The Thoroughbred Makeover is the largest and most lucrative retraining competition in North America for recently-retired Thoroughbreds and former broodmares. Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance Accredits 49 Organizations

Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance (TAA) has named 49 aftercare organizations who have been awarded accreditation for 2025, the non-profit said in a Friday release. Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance Receives Funding from Commonwealth of Kentucky

Kentucky House Bill 8, passed during the 2024 General Assembly, has allocated $250,000 of annual funding to the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance (TAA) from the Commonwealth of Kentucky, the TAA announced Monday. Oldest Thoroughbred in America Dies at 39

New Years Eve (Night Conqueror), believed to be the second-oldest American Thoroughbred on record, has passed away in Pennsylvania.
