Turfway Park Racing & Gaming's Holiday Meet returns Wednesday, Dec. 3 through Saturday, Dec. 27, headlined by the second annual Synthetic Championships on Saturday, Dec. 13, with four stakes contests worth a combined $1 million, according to a Friday press release from Churchill Downs. Higher Purses, Additional Stakes Highlight 2025 Season at Colonial

An expanded schedule with higher overnight purses and additional stakes events will feature this summer at Colonial Downs during a 41-day stand from Wednesday, July 9 through Saturday, Sept. 13. Gulfstream Boosts Spring/Summer Purses

Overnight purses for the upcoming Spring/Summer Meet at Gulfstream Park will be increased in all categories from open handicaps to $6,250 claiming races with conditions. Del Mar Boosts Fall Meet Overnight Purses 20%

Del Mar's eighth fall meeting--starting Wednesday, Nov. 3--will offer horsemen/women a 20% blended raise in overnight purses compared to last year, as well as a continuation of the popular 'Ship & Win' program that has amplified field size and year-round horse population at the track and in the state, Del Mar announced Tuesday. Maryland Overnight Purses Increase

A 15% across-the-board increase for overnight purses in Maryland has been instituted for the rest of 2021 after a Maryland Thoroughbred Horsemen's Association (MTHA) Board of Directors meeting June 29. The increase goes into effect at Pimlico July 2, the next date of live racing in the state. Overnight purse distribution levels will also be restored.
