Godolphin's G1 Prix Marcel Boussac nominee Bauhinia (Ire) (Too Darn Hot {GB}--Desert Blossom {Ire}, by Shamardal) justified that lofty entry and earned a 'TDN Rising Star' rosette with a taking debut display in Thursday's Prix de la Cascade at ParisLongchamp. Racing a shade keenly under a firm grip through halfway in this one-mile debutantes' test, the 23-10 favourite loomed large hard on the steel passing the quarter-mile marker and quickened stylishly under mild coaxing once seizing control approaching the final furlong to easily account for Cetera (Ire) (Nathaniel {Ire}) by...

Twelve months ago, Cheveley Park Stud's Inspiral (GB) (Frankel {GB}) was using Deauville's G1 Prix du Haras de Fresnay-le-Buffard Jacques le Marois as a springboard back to the big time having suffered a shock reversal in the G1 Falmouth S. This time around, the John and Thady Gosden-trained homebred is in Normandy attempting to make up for another defeat having been bogged down in Goodwood's unexpectedly tacky surface in the G1 Sussex S. As she had shown when disappointing in the G1 Queen Elizabeth II S. on Champions Day, easy...

Prior to her fourth in the G1 Nassau S. during the Qatar Goodwood Festival earlier this month, the Yeguada Centurion homebred had completed a rare Group 1 triple, with wins in the Prix Marcel Boussac at two, and the Classic double of the Poule d'Essai des Pouliches and Prix de Diane this year. "She is very well, she had a good journey back from...
After a deluge of rainfall this past week in the Saratoga Springs area, last Friday's $500,000 GII National Museum of Racing Hall of Fame S. for 3-year-old colts at a mile over the grass was postponed seven days, as an interesting mix of American and European invaders reconvene on the Inner Turf. With conditions which could be soft to yielding, trainer Chad Brown saddles three entries with GISP Appraise (Ire) Kodiac {GB}), Mischievous Angel (Into Mischief) and Carl Spackler (Ire) (Lope de Vega {Ire}), while also present is the winner...
Putting the "wow factor" into Friday night's G1 Grand Prix de Paris at ParisLongchamp, Ecurie Jean-Louis Bouchard's TDN Rising Star Feed The Flame (GB) (Kingman {GB}--Knyazhna {Ire}, by Montjeu {Ire}) swooped on unsuspecting victims to provide further proof of the outstanding merit of the G1 Prix du Jockey Club form. Only fourth behind Ace Impact (Ire) (Cracksman {GB}) in that 10 1/2-furlong Chantilly Classic, the Pascal Bary trainee who had dazzled on his first two starts looked an unlikely winner throughout the early stages with Cristian Demuro detached in last....
