The 23rd New Vocations All-Thoroughbred Charity Horse Show Presented by Heider Family Stables raised over $180,000 to support racehorse aftercare, New Vocations announced Wednesday. Proceeds from the event, which was held May 29-31 at Highfields Event Center in Aiken, SC, went directly towards New Vocations' efforts to rehab, retrain and rehome retiring racehorses. The charity show brought together over 150 exhibitors from a dozen different states, all showcasing the versatility of their off-track Thoroughbreds. Horses In The City Campaign At The Place De La Concorde Set For September

A free, new event, "Horses in the City", will be held at the Place de la Concorde in Paris on September 5-6, France Galop announced on Thursday. Trainers Pledge Belmont Festival Earnings To Support TRF

A group of former Todd Pletcher assistant trainers have pledged to donate a percentage of their earnings from the Belmont Stakes Racing Festival to support the mission of the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation (TRF), the organization said on Thursday in a press release. Michael McCarthy, George Weaver, Jonathan Thomas, Whit Beckman and Amelia Green have each committed a portion of their festival earnings to the TRF, underscoring their dedication to the welfare of retired racehorses. BBAG Christmas Online Catalogue Features Breeding Right In Cloth Of Stars

A total of 79 horses have been catalogued for the BBAG Christmas Online Sale on Friday, Nov. 29. The sale ends on Sunday, Dec. 1. Consisting of six foals, five yearlings, 25 broodmares, six 2-year-olds, 37 racehorses (3yo/up) and a breeding right in Cloth Of Stars (Ire), the catalogue features many horses eligible for the BBAG auction races.
