Sunday's Kentucky HBPA College Day, presented by Ellis Park, is highlighted by the last race scholarship, which has been doubled to $2,000 in honor of the late Hall of Famer D. Wayne Lukas, who passed away June 28. Awarded by the Kentucky Horsemen's Benevolent & Protective Association, the scholarship benefits eligible industry participants or their children who are full-time college students. The D. Wayne Lukas Memorial scholarship will be given via drawing to an industry participant or their child enrolled in college full-time for the summer or upcoming fall term....
