Uruguay Promoted To Part I Of The International Cataloguing Standards Book

The International Grading and Race Planning Advisory Committee (IRPAC)--part of the International Federation of Horseracing (IFHA)--has approved the promotion of Uruguay to Part I for the 2025 publication of the International Cataloguing Standards Book (ICS Book), the organization said in a release on Friday. Weatherbys Will Recognise The Everest And All-Star Mile As Group 1s

TJCIS President Carl Hamilton Retires; Tim Leith Promoted

Carl Hamilton, since 1994 the president of The Jockey Club Information Systems (TJCIS), has retired as of Dec. 31, 2022. Hamilton will remain in role as chairman of BloodHorse and will continue to represent The Jockey Club on a variety of national and international committees related to the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities (IFHA) and the Society of International Thoroughbred Auctioneers (SITA).
