Tattersalls Somerville Yearling Sale

Tattersalls and Newmarket Racecourse will stage the inaugural Tattersalls Somerville Auction S., for 2-year-olds over six furlongs worth £100,000, in August 2022 on the July Course. The race is restricted to graduates of this year's Tattersalls Somerville Yearling Sale, which is set for Newmarket's Park Paddocks on Sept. 7, and prizemoney will be paid down to tenth place, with £55,000 allocated to the winner. After a successful 2020 renewal of the Tattersalls Ascot Yearling Sale at Park Paddocks that returned records for average, median, top lot and turnover, Tattersalls announced on Wednesday that the sale would become a permanent fixture in Newmarket and be renamed the Tattersalls Somerville Yearling Sale.
