'Transferred as Retired' Goes Digital

The Jockey Club's 'Transferred as Retired from Racing' process can now be completed digitally through the Interactive Registration (IR) website at registry.jockeyclub.com. Previously, the retired from racing process required notarized signatures on a hardcopy form. Andrew Morris Appointed Head of Racing at Newmarket

Andrew Morris has been appointed to replace Michael Prosser as head of racing at Newmarket Racecourses. Prosser, who has been in the role for 23 years, will step down at the end of the season. Morris, 41, completed the British Horseracing Authority's Graduate Development Programme before beginning his career with The Jockey Club at Market Rasen and later qualifying as a clerk of the course. Falsified Delaware Workout Leads To $2,000 Fine

The stewards at Delaware Park have fined trainer Don Bryant, Jr. $2,000 for a series of "not conducting business in a proper manner" infractions that started with the falsification of a workout for an 0-for-12 maiden-claiming gelding he reportedly owns that hadn't raced in nearly a year. Jockey Club Seeks Injunction to Curb Derby Disruption

The Jockey Club, owner of Epsom Downs Racecourse, has applied to the High Court for an injunction to prohibit acts intended to disrupt the Derby meeting on June 2 and 3.
