The nominations for the 2025 Canadian Triple Crown, consisting of The King's Plate, Prince of Wales and Breeders' Stakes, were released by Woodbine Entertainment Friday. A total of 88 3-year-olds, all foaled in Canada, have been nominated to this year's Canadian Triple Crown. Following storms and torrential rain in the Toronto area Saturday afternoon, Woodbine decided to cancel the remainder of Saturday's 13-race King's Plate card. The track conducted the first five races on the undercard before forcing to cancel because of inclement weather.
