In advance of the 40th anniversary of the TOBA National Awards, the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association announced the State Breeders of the Year and three equine award winners Monday. The 40th Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association (TOBA) National Awards Dinner will be held on Saturday, Sept. 6 at Fasig-Tipton in Lexington, Kentucky, the group said via a press release on Friday. Hosted by FanDuel's Scott Hazelton, the event will feature a more informal feel in terms of recommended "blue jeans, boots, and bling" attire, open seating dining, signature Bluegrass music, and a Kentucky bourbon experience. The 2023 National Award winners--humans and horses--which will be honored by the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association (TOBA) were announced by that organization Tuesday afternoon. TOBA, which will hold the awards for the 39th year, will host the National Awards Luncheon to honor the winning breeders Friday, Sept. 6 at the Thoroughbred Club of America and the National Awards Dinner Saturday, Sept. 7 at Fasig-Tipton. Hosted by Fasig-Tipton, the 38th Annual Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association (TOBA) handed out its National Awards across two days of ceremonies, the organization said in a release late Saturday. A luncheon for the winners was held on Friday, Sept. 8 at WinStar Farm, honoring State and Canadian Breeders of the Year for 2022.
