Thoroughbred Owners of California (TOC) named seven new directors Wednesday afternoon, according to a letter to TOC membership from TOC President and CEO Bill Nader. Nominations for the ballot closed Mar. 1 with seven qualified candidates for seven open positions, giving each one the position without the need of an election and saving the organization approximately $18,000 in election expenses. The board of directors of the Thoroughbred Owners of California (TOC) unanimously voted to appoint owner/trainer Mark Glatt to fill a vacancy on the board created by the recent resignation of longtime board member Rick Gold. After studying at Western Washington University, Glatt began training Thoroughbreds in 1995, handling a second string for his father at Yakima Meadows.
