A gelding by Liam's Map topped the Washington Thoroughbred Breeders & Owners Association (WTBOA) Summer Yearling and Mixed Sale Aug. 24. The Liam's Map yearling out of One Foxy Grey (Big Brown) brought $47,000 from trainer Sandi Gann as agent for British Columbia horseman Glen Todd and his North American Thoroughbred Horse Company. The 53rd Annual Washington Thoroughbred Breeders & Owners Association (WTBOA) Summer Yearling and Mixed Sale is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 24. To be held at 2:00 p.m. at the WTBOA Sales Pavilion located at Emerald Downs in Washington, this year's sale will feature 98 yearlings by both local and national sires. For the second time in the last four years, a colt by Smiling Tiger topped the Washington Thoroughbred Breeders and Owners Association's annual summer sale, which was again held at the WTBOA Sales Pavilion located at Emerald Downs in Auburn, Wa., Aug. 18.
