The Goffs Yorton Sale will not take place in 2024, and will instead return on Sept. 4, 2025, Goffs and Yorton's David Futter confirmed on Wednesday. The decision was made by Futter, who felt that although the quality of horses at Yorton was up to its usual high standard, the quantity did not justify the sale taking place this year. George Stanners has been named the new Bloodstock Manager of Yorton Farm. Previously with DBS which became Goffs UK straight from school 17 years ago, Stanners will begin his new role on Jan. 1, 2022. He will continue to serve as an auctioneer at most Goffs sales in Kildare and Doncaster. Additionally, Goffs UK will continue to conduct all sales held at Yorton Farm. For the second time in a month at Yorton Farm, a record for a point to point horse was reached on Thursday when Classic Getaway (Ire) (Getaway {Ger}) (lot 7) matched the £570,000 made by Jonbon at the Goffs UK November P2P Sale.
