TEN MOHS (Speightstown–Lemon Kiss, by Lemon Drop Kid) cost Koji Maeda's North Hills $230K as a Keeneland September yearling in 2015, and the filly returned a good chunk of that investment with a two-length debut success at 70 cents on the dollar at Kyoyo Jan. 29. Yutaka Take has a return call aboard the half-sister to GISW Lochte (Medaglia d'Oro), whose dam is a stakes-winning full-sister to MGSW & GISP Kiss the Kid. Ten Mohs's third dam is Hat Tab Girl (Al Hattab), the dam of champion and GI Breeders' Cup Classic winner Black Tie Affair (Ire) (Miswaki). Ten Mohs has been given an entry for the GI Kentucky Oaks.

Bred by Lakland Farm, Meiner Kenntnis is a half-brother to the promising female sprinter Finley'sluckycharm (Twirling Candy), a stakes winner and runner-up in the 2016 GI La Brea S. The bay's first two dams each earned multiple black-type placings, while GSW third dam Gather the Clan (Ire) (General Assembly) was responsible for MGISW Pure Clan (Pure Prize) and MGSW Greater Good (Intidab).
