1.5million for Banimpire

Sold for 2.3million euros to Martin Schwartz at last year's Goffs November Sale, the ex-Jim Bolger-trained Banimpire (Ire) (Holy Roman Emperor {Ire}–My Renee, by Kris S.) made waves at Tattersalls when selling for 1.5million guineas. Consigned by European Sales Management, the five-times Pattern-race scorer who descends from Detroit (Fr) was secured by Reiley McDonald of Eaton Sales. “She is the prettiest mare,” he said. “She has been bought on behalf of a very good client. We are keen to buy European pedigrees to bring in more versatility, stamina and strength to our US pedigrees. We will send her to Galileo–he is the pre-eminent stallion in the world and we want to get ahead of the curve by using him. She might spend a couple of years in Europe–we will see.”
