A record 201 horses have been pre-entered in the 2014 Breeder? Cup World Championships, including 38 internationally campaigned runners and five 2013 winners. The previous record of 194 pre-entries in 2011 included two additional races. Juddmonte Far?sÜTDN Rising Sta? Close Hatches (First Defence) headlines a field of 12 entered for the GI Distaff following the defection Sunday of defending champion Beholder (Henny Hughes). An overflow field of 15, including leading 3-year-olds Shared Belief (Candy Ride {Arg}), California Chrome (Lucky Pulpit), Tonalist (Tapit) and Bayern (Offlee) are pre-entered to contest the Classic.
