The Jockey Club of Canada has announced the finalists for its three Media Sovereign Award categories. The winners will be revealed at the 42nd Annual Sovereign Awards Apr. 13 at Palais Royale in Toronto.
The finalists for the Writing Category are Steve Buffery for “Trainer Marc-Andre Blouin and his horse don't know the meaning of quit,” Joe Nevills for “Giant Gizmo rocketing up the charts,” and Beverley Smith for “Laurie Silvera's Woodbine Paradise.”
Finalists for the category of Digital Audio/Visual and Broadcast are Horse Racing Radio Network, Talkin' Horses and Woodbine Entertainment Group. The finalists for Photograph are Cody Gregory for “Morning Workout,” Erika Rusnak for “Dashing Through the Snow,” and William Wong for “Wednesday Night Lights.”
