Keeneland has cataloged 4,762 horses–2,287 broodmares and broodmare prospects, 1,836 weanlings, 544 horses of racing age and three stallions–for its upcoming November Breeding Stock sale to be held Nov. 8-20, which includes the dispersals of Conquest Stables, VinMar Farm and Rosemont Farm.
The catalog features several top race mares, including champion Stellar Wind (Curlin) (Hip 69); MGISW Lady Eli (Divine Park) (hip 466); GI Just a Game S. winner Celestine (Scat Daddy) (hip 144); and Group 2 winner Secret Gesture (GB) (Galileo {Ire}) (hip 53), who sells in foal to War Front. The sale will also offer a selection of well-bred weanlings, such as a full-brother to GISW “TDN Rising Star” Dame Dorothy (Bernardini) (hip 101); a half-sister to Canadian Horse of the Year Catch a Glimpse (City Zip) (hip 436); and a Frankel (GB) half-sister to champion Hansen (Tapit) (hip 316).
“Keeneland's November Breeding Stock Sale is the largest sale of its kind in the world and is remarkable because of the unparalleled diversity and depth in its offerings,” Keeneland Vice President of Racing and Sales Bob Elliston said. “Breeders from around the world will be here to obtain broodmares and broodmare prospects to add to or establish their programs, while others from an equally wide range of locations will set their sights on the sale's weanlings and horses of racing age.”
Broodmares in the sale are in foal to the likes of American Pharoah, Bernardini, Tapit, Medaglia d'Oro, Uncle Mo, War Front and many more. Those prominent sires, as well as Curlin, Frankel (GB), Kitten's Joy, Pioneerof the Nile and others will also be represented by weanlings in the sale.
The Horse of Racing Age section will be held Nov. 14 – 15 and will feature horses from the WinStar and Mill Ridge consignments, as well as several from the Conquest dispersal.
The Keeneland November sale kicks off Nov. 8 with the first of two Book 1 sessions, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
