OXO Equine's Larry Best has been making headlines at the sales since Keeneland September, scooping up big money racing prospects for his new venture, and he is represented by his first runner here in BEYOND AMBITION (Tapit&log=">Tapit). Best purchased the first timer for $1.1 million at OBS March after she breezed a furlong in :21 2/5. The Jerry Hollendorfer pupil is out of GSP Arienza (Giant's Causeway), who is a daughter of Horse of the Year and three-time champion older mare Azeri, and a half-sister to MGSW & GISP Wine Princess (Ghostzapper). Hall of Famer Bob Baffert can never be overlooked, especially with a debuting juvenile, and he saddles Mike Pegram homebred Midnight Cute (Midnight Lute) in this test. The dark bay is out of the unraced Silverbulletfolly (Vindication), herself a daughter of Pegram and Baffert's Hall of Famer and dual Eclipse winner Silverbulletday.
