Brodway's Alibi (f, 4, Vindication) became the latest racemare from the Robsham dispersal to make seven figures, fetching a final bid of $2.15 million from Reynolds Bell, as agent for the Alpha Delta Stable. Broadway's Alibi blossomed at three while under the care of Todd Pletcher, winning the seven-furlong GII Forward Gal S. by nearly 17 lengths, then stretched out to a mile to easily account for the GIII Comely S. in New York. In what would become her final career start, Broadway's Alibi set the majority of the pace in the GI Kentucky Oaks before yielding grudgingly to finish second by 3/4 of a length. Broadway's Alibi, who hails from the extended female family of champion Eliza (Mt. Livermore), was sold carrying her first foal by Smart Strike.
