Cheveley Park Studís Allegretto (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) capped an annus mirabilis for the Newmarket-based operation and her sire when flying late to capture Franceís end-of-season marathon, the G1 Prix Royal-Oak, in race-record time at Longchamp yesterday. Requiring the full length of the Bois de Boulgne trackís straight, she was unrelenting in the drive to collar Macleya (Ger) (Winged Love {Ire}) nearing the line to claim a deserved first top-level success by short neck at odds of 26-5. ìSheís a really gutsy filly and keeps on pulling out more,î said winning rider Ryan Moore. ìShe has already won three Group 2 races, so she really deserved that.î
