A colt by Deep Impact (Jpn)ﾠwho is theﾠfirst foalﾠof multiple American GII winner Cozi Rosie (Pleasantly Perfect) will be the newest potential star for Japanese entertainmentﾠmogul Yasushi Kubota, whose Scuderia operation purchased the yearling for ﾥ105 million ($1,029,412)ﾠduring the opening session of the Japan Racing Horse Association select sale at the Northern Horse Park. Kubota, best known for producing the youthful female singing group known as AKB48, is a relatively new owner, although his father Yoshio Kubotaﾠhas participated in racing for years. The colt was consigned by Teruya Yoshida's Shadai Farm, which purchased Cozi Rosie for $525,000 at the 2012 Keeneland January mixed sale.
