+FIVE STAR RAMPAGE (f, 3, Quality Road–Genisa, by Storm Cat), a $175,000 FTSAUG yearling, gave Quality Road his second first-out maiden winner in three races on the Saturday card at Aqueduct with a wire-to-wire score over Empire-breds. The bay trained steadily at Palm Meadows dating back to the end of 2015 and shipped north to finalize his preparations with a five-panel breeze over the Belmont training track Feb. 27. Bet down to 3-5 favoritism, the filly jetted to the front and showed the way through fractions of :23.89 and :48.03. Edging away to open up a clear advantage in the stretch, Five Star Rampage reported home 4 3/4 lengths ahead of Naked Empress (Freud). The winner's second dam is GSW Tizdubai (Cee's Tizzy), a full-sister to MGISW Hall of Famer Tiznow and MGSW & GISP Budroyale. This is the same family that in recent years produced GISWs Oxbow (Awesome Again) and Paynter (Awesome Again). His dam Genisa produced a filly by Mission Impazible last year and was bred back to Bodemeister. She sold in foal to Bodemeister for $230,000 at last year's Keeneland November sale.
