MISS PICKY (f, 2, Uncle Mo–Always Shopping {MGSW, $637,975}, by Awesome Again) was yet another maiden winner at Saratoga for her all-star connections, this time on the turf. Having debut third behind Wednesday's P. G. Johnson Stakes runner up Scratch It (Tapit) over course and distance Aug. 1, this well-bred daughter of Uncle Mo returned as the 3-1 second choice and had plenty of early speed from the outside gate and rushed to the front to set the fractions. Unchallenged for much of the race, Miss Picky paced herself into the far turn, let the field come back to her at the quarter pole and then turned all comers away, spurting clear to the line to win by four lengths. Connect the Stars (Connect), who ran second in that same Aug. 1 maiden, was second again Friday. This is the first foal for Always Shopping, who earned over $630,000 in her own career for Mike Repole. She has this runner's yearling full-brother and produced a Not This Time colt this season before visiting Curlin for 2026. Lifetime Record: 2-1-0-1, $67,000.
