Earning TDN Rising Star status when beating Treve's sister Terre (Fr) (Motivator {GB}) decisively in a mile debutantes event at Saint-Cloud in October, Musawaah who was third on her return in a 10-furlong conditions race at Compiegne Apr. 24 received a boost this week when that rival opened her account at this venue. Soon in front, she put her rivals on the stretch from the top of the straight and only needed to be kept up to her work to score comfortably from Kitesurf. “She is a lovely-looking filly with a great stride who knows how to use it,” trainer Freddy Head said of the flashy bay. “I don't know how far she will stay, but she is in the [G1 Prix de] Diane [at Chantilly June 18]. She could possibly go there, but we'll take time to decide and see what's going on.”

Musawaah shares her second dam, the GI La Brea S. and GII Lady's Secret Breeders' Cup H. winner Magical Allure, with the G1 Asahi Hai Futurity S.-winning Japanese champion 2-year-old colt Danon Platina (Jpn) (Deep Impact {Jpn}). One of Magical Allure's pair of stakes-winning half-siblings Floral Magic (Affirmed) is the second dam of the G1 Arima Kinen Grand Prix-winning sire Matsurida Gogh (Jpn), while the third dam Rare Lady (Never Bend) is a half-sister to the Mother Goose and Acorn S. heroine and prolific producer Deceit (Prince John) whose descendants include Sunday's G2 Gerling-Preis winner Dschingis Secret (Ger) (Soldier Hollow {GB}). Mudreqah's youngest progeny is a 2017 colt by Hard Spun.
