Another Valkyre Bernardini Sells Big, Brings $625,000

A day after Valkyre Stud sold a Bernardini–Silk n' Sapphire filly for $1.2 million, Catherine Parke's operation enjoyed another big sale care of Darley's star stallion. Hip 565, a Bernardini half-brother to the graded winners Keyed Entry (Honour and Glory), Justin Phillip (First Samurai) and Successful Mission (Successful Appeal), brought $625,000 from Darley rep John Ferguson. The colt was produced by the graded-placed Ava Knowsthecode. Valkyre was consigning the colt for breeder Oakbrook Farm.
