Darley representative John Ferguson went to $500,000 for a son of A.P. Indy out of the unraced Piu Bella (Fusaichi Pegasus) to lead the early action during Thursday's fourth session of the Keeneland September Sale. Brookdale Sales consigned the colt for his breeders, International Equities Holding, which had purchased Piu Bella for $250,000 as a yearling at this sale five years ago.
