The fifth edition of the Arqana V.2 Yearling Sale, which numbers 144 yearlings in this year's catalogue, is now online. Scheduled for Aug. 22, the day after the Arqana August Yearling Sale, the V.2 Yearling Sale is slanted toward precocious yearlings with speed-oriented pedigrees. Past notable graduates include Group 3 winners Trixia (Fr) (Siyouni {Fr}) and Landfall (Fr)(Myboycharlie {Ire}), as well as listed winners Maximum Aurelius (Fr) (Showcasing {GB}) and Clem Fandango (Fr) (Elzaam {Aus}). The latter was also placed at Group 3 level.
Stallions represented in the sale include European champion juvenile Dabirsim (Fr) with eight lots, who recently celebrated his first group winner with G3 Albany S. heroine Different League (Fr), Elusive City, Harbour Watch (Ire), Kodiac (GB), Rajsaman (Fr), Siyouni (Fr), and Wootton Bassett (GB).
The V.2 Yearling Sale also has several stallions with their first yearlings, among them GSW Alhebayeb (Ire), American Devil (Fr), Anodin (Ire), Bungle Inthejungle (GB), Garswood (GB), No Nay Never, Olympic Glory (Ire) and War Command.
Siblings to precocious types will also go under the hammer. Among the 2017 offerings is a half-brother to MGSW Pearl Flute (Ire) (Piccolo {GB}) (lot 401) from the consignment of Jedburgh Stud; a Fairway Consignment half-sister to GSW Espirita (Fr) (Iffraaj {GB}) (lot 451) by Myboycharlie (Ire); an Elusive City half-sister to listed winner Meri Shika (Fr) (Spirit One {Fr}) (lot 476) consigned by Gisloterie; a daughter of MSW Bahama Mama (Ire) (Invincible Spirit {Ire}) (lot 449).
