A month of impressive performances worldwide has led to significant changes at the top of the ninth edition of the Longines World's Best Racehorse Rankings for 2016. Leading the way is 'TDN Rising Star' Arrogate (Unbridled's Song) (134), who ran down California Chrome (Lucky Pulpit) (133) in a GI Breeders' Cup Classic for the ages to claim the top spot. In Australia, Winx (Aus) (Street Cry {Ire}) (130) improved her rating from 127 to 130 and is now the third-highest rated horse in the world after her repeat victory in the G1 William Hill Cox Plate. Winx is both the top rated turf horse and top rated filly/mare in the world. In England, Almanzor (Fr) (129) continued to show his class as he added the G1 QIPCO Champion S. to his list of accomplishments and improved his rating from 127 to 129. Japan's A Shin Hikari (Jpn) (Deep Impact {Jpn}) (129), hero of this year's G1 Prix d'Ispahan, shares the fourth slot.
