The Allen Paulson Living Trust's A.P. Arrow (A.P. Indy) raced close to a moderate pace, split rivals at the head of the lane and outgamed Brass Hat (Prized) for a narrow victory in Friday's GII Clark H. at Churchill Downs. It was the fifth victory from 21 career starts for the five-year-old, a half-brother to Paulson's outstanding turf runner Geri (Theatrical {Ire}). Diamond Stripes (Notebook) checked in a troubled third while favored Istan (Gone West) closes his career with a fourth-place effort.
