Viewers of At The Races can look forward to the dedicated racing channel broadcasting live from Gulfstream Park Jan. 27, when the $16-million Pegasus World Cup Invitational forms the centrepiece of the coverage. Last year's inaugural running saw a dominant victory for 2016 GI Breeders' Cup Classic winner Arrogate (Unbridled's Song) who later added the G1 Dubai World Cup to his CV. Viewers from Ireland and Britain can watch the Jamie Osborne-trained Toast Of New York (Thewayyouare) take on 2017 Breeders' Cup Classic winner Gun Runner (Candy Ride {Arg}). ATR will mix studio coverage with award-winning NBC output, showing the Gulfstream Park undercard prior to the feature race which is scheduled for 10:40 p.m.
“We're delighted to once again secure exclusivity in the UK and Ireland for this coveted race, rubber-stamping our status as the home of top-class US racing,” said ATR director of broadcast, Rob Dakin. “The outstanding achievements of horses like California Chrome, Arrogate and more recently Gun Runner have been hugely engaging for racing fans all over the world, so we're proud to be a destination where these stories are told on broadcast, online and social media channels.”
