Back To Group 1 For Baciata

Bocca Baciata | Racing Post

Flaxman Stables's Bocca Baciata (Ire) (Big Bad Bob {Ire}) made the most of a class drop to return to the winner's enclosure in Sunday's G2 Kilboy Estate S. and Alan Cooper, the owner's racing manager, reported the 4-year-old filly will now step back up to Group 1 company. Bocca Baciata was second to Minding (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) in the G1 Pretty Polly S. two starts back at The Curragh June 26.

“We were all delighted with her the other day and she's a good, improving filly,” Cooper said. “We'd obviously love to win a Group 1 race with her and there are a few possibilities. There's the Prix Jean Romanet at Deauville [Aug. 21], the Beverly D at Arlington [Aug. 13] and later on the Prix de l'Opera [Oct. 2]. It could possibly be Deauville, but we'll speak to [trainer Jessica Harrington] and see what she would like to do.”
