Gaining an edge when stoked up with three-eighths remaining, the 2-1 favourite entered the final furlong with a decisive buffer and was driven out to hold the late thrust of Gakku (GB) (Pivotal {GB}) by a short head. Nothing But Dreams (GB) (Frankel {GB}), a daughter of MG1SW Danedream (Ger) (Lomitas {GB}), was scratched. Juddmonte's homebred bay becomes the fourth winner produced by G1 Poule d'Essai des Pouliches heroine Zenda (GB) (Zamindar), who also ran second in the G1 Coronation S. and GI Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup, and is a half-sister to European highweight sophomore and MG1SW sire Kingman (GB) (Invincible Spirit {Ire}) and G3 Tercentenary S. victor Remote (GB) (Dansili {GB}). She is also kin to the 2-year-old colt First Eleven (GB) (Frankel {GB}) and a yearling colt by Frankel (GB). Zenda is a half-sister to Juddmonte stalwart and MG1SW sire Oasis Dream (GB) (Green Desert), and hails from a storied family which includes the top-level winners Wemyss Bight (GB) (Dancing Brave), Beat Hollow (GB) (Sadler's Wells), New Bay (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}), Reefscape (GB) (Linamix {Fr}), et al.
