Beholder Gets Another Award

| 12:00 am

Spendthrift Farm LLC's Beholder (Henny Hughes) proved a surprisingly easy winner of the Eclipse Award as champion 3-year-old filly, garnering 207 first-place votes to the 42 votes for GI Kentucky Oaks winner Princess of Sylmar (Majestic Warrior). Beholder, last year's Eclipse Award-winning juvenile filly, won five of her seven starts in 2013, capped by a dominating victory in the GI Breeders' Cup Distaff. Beholder becomes the first filly since Silverbulletday to win the 2-year-old Eclipse and follow up as champion 3-year-old filly the following year.
