The Aga Khan Studs' hitherto undefeated Behrayna (Sea The Moon) accounted for Zlata (Zarak) in last month's Listed Prix de la Seine at ParisLongchamp and repeated the dose in Sunday's G3 Prix de Royaumont at Chantilly to bolster her perfect record in the 12-furlong contest.
“She's a lovely filly, we've always liked her and I have always wanted to step her up to a mile-and-a-half,” revealed Francis Graffard. “She showed me that I was right, as she can be a little bit off the bridle, and she needs plenty of time to get going. This filly has plenty of ability and is an exciting prospect. I'll need to see how she comes back from this, but we know soft ground will not be a problem. Either she stays in France for the [July 14 G2] Prix de Malleret [at ParisLongchamp], or I could give her plenty of time and focus on the autumn. I could maybe also have a look at the [G1] Irish Oaks with her.”
Under wraps along the fence in fifth for the most past, the 1-5 made eyecatching headway under mild urging in the straight and easily dominated once quickening for control approaching the final furlong to defeat Zlata by two lengths.
Pierre Groualle trainee Hatanka Fal (Hathal) fared best of the remainder and finished 1 1/4 lengths adrift in third.
She could be special! 😍

Pedigree Notes
Behrayna, who becomes the 22nd pattern-race winner for her sire, is one of three winners from as many runners out of a half-sister to G1 Grand Prix de Paris hero Behkabad (Cape Cross), stakes-winning G2 Prix Niel runner-up Carthage (Peintre Celebre) and Listed Prix Turenne victor Behesht (Sea The Stars).
Her Group 2-winning second dam Behkara (Kris), who twice hit the board in the G1 Prix Royal-Oak, is a daughter of G1 Prix Saint-Alary heroine and G1 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe runner-up Behera (Mill Reef).
Behrayna is kin to the stakes-placed duo Benamira (Waldgeist) and Behtar (Kitten's Joy) and a yearling filly by Vadeni.
