Bernardini Filly Best in Hallandale Debut

BERNADETTA (f, 2, Bernardini–Hi Beautiful {MSP, $157,394}, by Snow Ridge) showed a relatively light worktab at Palm Beach Downs and was sent off at odds of 2-1 for this career debut in a lucrative spot. Perched on the outside through a quarter-mile in :23.17, the filly made a quick move to collar Right On (Overdriven) midway on the bend and drew off to score by two lengths in :59.16. Blonde Bomber (Fort Larned) was second best. After a brief stewards inquiry into some crowding entering the far turn, the result was made official. The winner is a half to Malibu High (Malibu Moon), SP, $205,104.
