The British Horseracing Authority will offer individuals facing charges pro bono legal advice through Sport Resolution, the independent not-for-profit resolution service for sport in the UK.
Catherine Beloff, Director of Legal and Governance at the BHA, said, “It is of vital importance that there is no perception of an 'inequality of arms' when participants are subject to a disciplinary procedure. This gives an option for participants to have access to independent, experienced legal professionals for a fraction of what the cost would be otherwise.”
