Big Brown (Boundary), the 3-1 favorite on the morning line, will break from the far outside in post 20 Saturday in the $2-million GI Kentucky Derby. The unbeaten colt was 16th in the selection order, giving his connections the option of either the two spots inside or the three spots closest to the stands. “We only had a few choices and we took the best shot,” trainer Rick Dutrow Jr. commented during the nationally televised draw. “We're happy. He'll bop right out and get a good position. We have nothing to complain about.” Colonel John (Tiznow), 4-1 on the morning line, will break from post 10, while the filly Eight Belles (Unbridled's Song) has post five. She is listed as the co-fourth choice at 15-1 on the morning line.
