A bay colt by Tapit became the first horse to break the seven-figure barrier at Fasig-Tipton Florida when selling to Nick Sallusto, acting on behalf of Black Rock Stable, for $1 million. Stephens Thoroughbreds, agent, consigned the Mar. 10 foal as hip 51. The colt was produced by the 11-year-old winning Kingmambo mare Liberty Flag, a half-sister to MSW Gold Streamer (Forty Niner) and MGSP A. P. Five Hundred (A.P. Indy). It's the family of Sacahuista, Geri, Stormin Fever, et al. In his first trip through the ring, the colt RNA'd for $70,000 at Keeneland September.
