Wednesday, Baden-Baden, Germany, post time: 13:11, 152ND RENATE & ALBRECHT WOESTE – ZUKUNFTS-RENNEN-G3, €55,000, 2yo, 7fT
Field: Advantage (Ger) (Pomellato {Ger}), Commander's Intent (Fr) (Victor Ludorum {GB}), Gostam (Ger) (Saxon Warrior {Jpn}), Nitaro (GB) (Oasis Dream {GB}), Perito (Ger) (Time Test {GB}), Seguro (Ger) (Romanised {Ire}), Voitton (Ger) (Best Solution {Ire}), Zuender (Ger) (Amaron {GB}).
TDN Verdict: Baden-Baden's 'Grosse Woche' continues with the first of Germany's four pattern-race contests for juveniles. Hella Sauer two-for-two trainee Zuender makes his black-type debut coming back off wide-margin wins here in May and at Munich last month and sets the standard. Gostam defeated previous winner Seguro by four lengths over this trip at Munich in his only start to date and holds solid claims. So does the undefeated-in-two Voitton, who outpointed Henk Grewe stablemate Perito at Cologne last month. Nitaro accounted for subsequent winner Rue Michel Ange in his Cologne debut last month and should not be discounted, while Victorious Racing's Doncaster nursery winner Commander's Intent ships in for the George Scott stable. Slovakian challenger Advantage, who ran third over six furlongs at Bratislava in both prior starts, adds a touch of spice to the international flavour. [Sean Cronin].
Thursday, Salisbury, Britain, post time: 15:47, IRE-INCENTIVE, IT PAYS TO BUY IRISH DICK POOLE FILLIES' STAKES-G3, £52,500, 2yo, f, 6f 0y
Field: Anthelia (Ire) (Supremacy {Ire}), Awaken (Ire) (Mehmas {Ire}), Chicory (GB) (Ardad {Ire}), Flowerhead (Ire) (Starman {GB}), Golden Palace (GB) (Palace Pier {GB}), Orion's Belt (Ire) (Starman {GB}), Palmeira (GB) (Havana Grey {GB}), Planet Seeker (GB) (Blue Point {Ire}), Reimagined (Ire) (Kodi Bear {Ire}), Vishaka (Ire) (Invincible Spirit {Ire}).
TDN Verdict: Highclere Thoroughbred Racing's Leicester maiden scorer Awaken had previously run second behind Venetian Sun in Royal Ascot's G3 Albany and will be a warm order to make a black-type breakthrough. Amo Racing's G2 Queen Mary runner-up Flowerhead has been on the periphery in two subsequent stakes outings and requires a significant uptick, while Listed National Stakes and Weatherbys Super Sprint victrix Anthelia returns to stakes action coming back off a fifth in Harry's Half Million. Of the remainder, well-related undefeated duo Golden Palace and Planet Seeker appeal more than Listed St Hugh's runner-up and six-race maiden Palmeira and Windsor novice winner Reimagined, with both representing last year's winning stable of Eve Johnson Houghton. Thursday, ParisLongchamp, France, post time: 19:42, PRIX DE LIANCOURT-Listed, €50,300, 3yo, f, 10 1/2fT
Field: La Bonne Etoile (Ire) (Sea The Moon {Ger}), Benamira (GB) (Waldgeist {GB}), Hollys Graces (Ire) (Australia {GB}), Mahiya (Ire) (Sottsass {Fr}), Galene (Ger) (Sea The Moon {Ger}), Victory Queen (GB) (Kingman {GB}), Merveilleux Lapin (Ire) (Mohaather {GB}), Revoir (GB) (Study Of Man {Ire}), Reine De Medicis (Ire) (Romanised {Ire}), Model Yuko (GB) (Al Kazeem {GB}).
TDN Verdict: Godolphin's Victory Queen, one of five international visitors, finished ahead of Revoir in July's Listed Lyric Fillies' Stakes and holds the form edge on that rival. The latter was then denied in a head-bobbing finish to Salisbury's Listed Upavon Fillies' Stakes and holds the fitness edge in a wide-open renewal. Henry de Bromhead won this last year and relies on Listed Naas Oaks Trial and G2 Ribblesdale also-ran Hollys Graces this time around, while G3 Diana-Trial fifth and Polish Oaks heroine Merveilleux Lapin is an intriguing contender from Poland. Roger Varian trainee Model Yuko completes the cross-border set. France's solid defence is on alert and consists of the stakes-placed trio La Bonne Etoile, Benamira and Reine De Medicis as well as G3 Prix Minerve seventh Galene and Andre Fabre nominee Mahiya.
