Dogwood Stableís Blackberry Road (Gone West), runner-up in the Nov. 24 GII Kentucky Jockey Club S. at Churchill Downs, will be pointed toward a winter campaign at Fair Grounds, Dogwood President Cot Campbell said yesterday. ìWeíre looking forward to running him in the Jan. 12 [GIII] Lecomte S.,î Campbell said. Next in line for the half-brother to champion and successful young sire Vindication would likely be the Feb. 9 GIII Risen Star S. and the Mar. 8 GII Louisiana Derby. ìWeíll see how he does there, then, hopefully, head north,î Campbell added.
