+SLEETING (f, 3, Blame">Blame–Snow Top Mountain {MGSW & GISP, $525,303}, by Najran) displayed a steady string of works over the local strip and was given a 4-1 chance to get the job done in this career bow. Saving ground in mid-pack early, the bay bided her time as the leader ticked off early fractions of :23.66 and :47.99. Tipped out four-wide while still well back at the top of the lane, the homebred uncorked a powerful turn of foot to swiftly inhale the field and score a head victory over If You Say So (Arch), who imitated the winner's late move. Sleeting was the seventh debut winner of the meet for trainer Arnaud Delacour. The winner's two-time GSW dam Snow Top Mountain is a half-sister to MGSW millionaire Keertana (Johar) and GSW & GISP “TDN Rising Star” Diversy Harbor (Curlin). That trio's 2-year-old half-brother by Lemon Drop Kid recently brought $550,000 from Lanes End Bloodstock at the OBS March sale after breezing a furlong in :10.1. Sleeting is the first foal out of Snow Top Mountain, who also produced a juvenile filly by Medaglia d'Oro and a yearling colt by Malibu Moon. She was bred back to Pioneerof the Nile. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, $11,600. Click for the Equibase.com chart or VIDEO, sponsored by Fasig-Tipton.
