The globe-trotting Blond Me (Ire) (Tamayuz {GB}) could have her passport stamped yet again with a trip to Italy having been pencilled in by trainer Andrew Balding.
Barbara Keller's 4-year-old earned just shy of £200,000 when winning last weekend's G2 Longines International Topkapi Trophy in Turkey and her next target could well be a return to top-level company for the G1 Premio Lydia Tesio at Cappenellle.
“It was a nice performance and she deserved a Group win,” said Balding. “We will carry on for the year. There is a Group 1 fillies' race in Italy in October which she might go for. As for next year, she might stay in training.”
Blond Me, who was runner-up in the G3 Atalanta Fillies' S. at Sandown in August, also won the Listed Conqueror S. at Goodwood earlier in the season. She closed out her 3-year-old year with two starts on American turf, finishing second to Sentiero Italia (Medaglia d'Oro) in the GII Sands Point S. at Belmont before a sixth-place finish in the G1 Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup at Keeneland.
Her breeder Wardstown Stud is consigning Blond Me's Clodovil (Ire) half-brother as lot 78 at the Goffs Orby Sale on Sept. 27.
