Saturday's two-year-old maiden at Navan boasted Charles Darwin, Camille Pissarro, River Tiber and Aesop's Fables as it's last four winners and the latest renewal taken by Tribeca (Blue Point) will be worth further study.
“He's a nice horse. He's still babyish, he's still green and I don't know how quick he is yet,” trainer Robson De Aguiar said. “He's an end-of-April foal and he has a lot to improve. A big, strong horse and I'd say he has a bright future. He has a very good mentality for a Blue Point–he's very relaxed, he does everything right, so I'm delighted with what he did today.”
While Royal Ascot is the obvious focus for all juvenile winners at this time of year, De Aguiar was in no hurry to commit. “I'd say he's kind of a Coventry horse, but I have to see how he goes after the race today,” he added. “If he is ready to go to Ascot, we will try. I think we will go to The Curragh for a Group Three [the Marble Hill] before Ascot.”
Sent off at 17-2 for the near-six-furlong contest, Amo Racing and Anne O'Callaghan's 575,000gns Tattersalls October Book 1 purchase showed early speed and professionalism to race up front under Donagh O'Connor.
Strong to the line, the relative of the Irish 1,000 Guineas heroine Homeless Songs (Frankel) from an excellent Moyglare Stud family had half a length to spare over Barrow Boy (Bayside Boy).

The winner is the second of two current foals out of the dam, who was a debut winner at three over a mile and a quarter for Moyglare and Dermot Weld. She is a full-sister to the dual Group 3 winner Carla Bianca and a half to the Listed scorer and triple Group-placed Joailliere (Dubawi) who in turn produced the aforementioned Homeless Songs and the useful Group performer Reve De Vol (Siyouni). The excellent family also features Danehill's high-class mares Profound Beauty and Irresistible Jewel.
