Born To Sea (Ire) (Invincible Spirit {Ire}), whose first foals proved popular at last week's Goffs November Foal Sale, will not stand at Rathasker Stud for 2015, the farm revealed on Twitter. The tweet read, “It has been decided by mutual agreement that Born To Sea will not stand at Rathasker for 2015 season. For nominations contact John Clarke.”
Clarke is the racing advisor to the Tsui family, which bred and own Born To Sea, a three-quarter brother to Sea the Stars (Ire) (Cape Cross {Ire}) and a half-brother to Galileo (Ire). That trio are out of the champion racemare Urban Sea (Miswaki).
Born To Sea, who was a listed winner on debut and finished second to Camelot (GB) (Galileo {Ire}) in the 2012 G1 Irish Derby, had his first weanlings sell for up to €220,000 at Goffs.
