Botty's Bloodstock Buys Reserve Bank During Inglis Bull Ring Sale

Group 1-winning sprinter Reserve Bank has been sold to Botty's Bloodstock during the inaugural Inglis Bull Ring Sale. The son of Capitalist won the G1 The Goodwood.

“I thought it was a great opportunity to secure a horse of his calibre,” Aaron Bott said. “Reserve Bank was an outstanding racehorse with genuine top-class speed and was a Group 1 winner at three in open company, which is a rare accomplishment.

“He possesses an impressive physique and is a grandson of influential sires Written Tycoon and Fastnet Rock.

“I can't disclose the plans for his immediate future, but we're just thrilled to have secured him and excited for his future at stud.

“The Bull Ring concept is fantastic and Nick Melmeth from Inglis Digital was great throughout the process,” Bott said.

The Bull Ring was developed by Inglis as a private auction platform in response to significant market feedback.

“There wasn't one stallion master that wasn't aware that Reserve Bank was going through the Inglis Bull Ring, which is a fantastic and unique concept combining transparency and confidentiality, two of the most important factors when facilitating sensitive stud deals,” co-trainer Michael Kent, Jr. said.

“Everyone who needed to be contacted was engaged directly by the Inglis Bloodstock team, leaving no stone unturned in the pursuit of the best possible outcome.

“I think the whole process was brilliant, the digital reach that Inglis has is unmatched.

“From our perspective it was a beautifully seamless process, Inglis took all the hard work off our hands, their marketing was outstanding and we're delighted with the result.

“Offering a prospective stallion through the platform also opened our eyes to potential buyers that we may never have otherwise reached, which is a great example of the exposure provided by the Inglis Digital team.”

Inglis Digital business manager Nick Melmeth said, “Reserve Bank attracted significant interest from both domestic and international parties, with multiple bidders on the horse, which is reassuring as it shows that the process of marketing the horse in this way was very effective.

“Ultimately our job is to connect quality stock with the right buyers and we're very pleased to have achieved that outcome here.

“The feedback we've received from participants throughout the process has been overwhelmingly positive and we're excited about the opportunities the Bull Ring can create going forward.

“I'd like to thank the connections of Reserve Bank for placing their trust in us and we wish Aaron and his clients every success with the horse.”
