Champion French jockey Pierre-Charles Boudot has denied rape allegations brought against him for an incident in Deauville in August of 2015. The complaint was filed in October of 2018.

Boudot voluntarily spoke with investigators at a police station in Chantilly on Thursday. His lawyer Florence Gaudilliere told media afterwards that Boudot “is the object of amorous revenge” and that he volunteered to speak to police, “because he has absolutely nothing to reproach himself for.”

Boudot enjoyed a career-best year on the track last year, his Group 1 wins including the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe aboard Waldgeist (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), the Coronation S. at Royal Ascot on Watch Me (Fr) (Olympic Glory {Ire}) and the Prix de Diane with Channel (Fr) (Nathaniel {Ire}).
